This is the first cooperative game I've played in a minute, and I've got say it's one of my favorites! Such amazing functional artwork and the replayability is off the charts. At two players you use the hologram mechanism that changes leader powers every round. Come on now! Love this gem!

This game makes you think a lot in tense situations. I had a lot of fun playing it though. All the art in the game is beautiful as well. I like playing the different characters and everytime I play I feel the game could go either way. The sinking tiles are a great visual touch.
Basically a perfect game for me. I love coop and worker placement, and this is the perfect amalgamation of the two. Also it scales very well amongst the player counts and the difficulty scaling works perfectly to allow you to get the proper challenge. Our last few games have come down to "next round is going to be the last so we have two rounds to plan out how to win". That is great, and others have commented on how important cooperation is for success at higher difficulty levels.
This game is great at all player counts since much of the decision-making happens simultaneously. Few things can match the dread of having to draw misfortunes. The game includes varied and useful player powers. The artwork is outstanding! The game can be very tense -- oftentimes, whether we win or lose comes down to the very last turn. So it's not so great for unwinding because it's so exciting and stressful. This is one of the games that got me & my partner into board gaming.
I feel this game has everything I want in a board game. Wide range of players (2-7), different roles to play, different difficulties options, and balance between random aspect and available actions or choices to handle it.
