Description
The Tower is the fourth major expansion for the Carcassonne game. Tower segments are added to the game, as well as some new actions. Instead of placing a Meeple as usual on their turns, players can now either place a tower segment on a tile with a space for a tower, add a tower segment to a tower already standing, or place a Meeple on top of a tower (which "finishes" it). Placing a tower segment allows you to capture other players' Meeples, so long as they are in view of the tower in an orthogonal direction. If the tower is 1 piece high, they can capture Meeples that are within 1 tile of the tower; if the tower is 2 pieces high, they can capture Meeples within 2 tiles of the tower; etc. Not only do players lose whatever they may have scored with that Meeple, but they also have to pay 3 victory points if they want to free their Meeple. Part of the Carcassonne series.

EXCELLENT Expansion. UNCLEAR OBJECTING... Adds nastiness to game! ?⚠️ Builds additional rules, added objectives and mixes to the game. No longer play Carcassonne without this and other expansions! ??

In Carcassonne Bin. We play this BIG. I have 2 base games and every expansion I could get my hands on. Even sent away to Germany for a Spielbox Magazine with the Plague expansion. WE LOVE THIS GAME!! We move furniture and play on the floor. We play all of it at the same time. ALL OF IT. We have a knapsack that we toss all the tiles into. We sprawl the map all over the place. Full games can take hours and scoring the farms at the end is a total headache but we LOVE THIS GAME!! We don't bother separating the expansions afterwards because we know we are going to play the whole thing the next time anyway.

Excellent. As almost all the expansions, this one changes a lot the strategy, making every follower fear all the time. It maintains the tension until the last moment. It's deadly with farmers. On the top expansions.

So evil! So fun! I love it! Carcassonne should never be played without The Towers. This turns a solitaire game into a hard core cut-throat serious strategy game. You may lose friends over a game with The Towers included.
