The time of misfortune looms over us. In the world of Warhammer, the four Gods of Chaos battle for power: Khorne, the God of Blood; Nurgle, the Great Corruptor; Tzeentch, the Changer of Ways; Slaanesh, the Lord of Pleasure. In the board game Chaos in the Old World, 2-4 players take on the roles of malevolent Powers of Ruin. The unique powers of each god and their legions of followers provide the controlling player with unique strengths and heretical abilities to corrupt and enslave the Old World.
As the Pernicious Powers seek to gain dominance through corruption and conquest, they must not only watch out for each other but also against the desperate peoples of the Old World who fight to banish the gods into the maelstrom of the Realms of Chaos… at least for the moment.
