City of Fury
City of Fury is a solo homage to classic beat 'em ups like Streets of Rage. Choose your vigilante and face enemies in a ruined city. A board game for 1 player with strategic attack and movement mechanics.
City of Fury is a solo homage in 9 cards to classic beat 'em ups like Streets of Rage and Double Dragon. Choose your vigilante and patrol the streets of a ruined city, filled with Boss Man's henchmen, corrupt cops, and outlaw cyborgs, always scrolling to the right until you face Boss Man and his lieutenants.
Five Street Cards form the Screen, with the Boss Card on the right; two Enemy Cards and the Vigilante start on the Street Cards. The only randomization is the initial setup. The Skills Card contains actions: Punch, Kick, Shoot, and Dodge, each with 4 charge levels. On your turn, you activate a Skill at its current level, then reset it to the minimum and increase the charge of two Skills by 1. Actions include movement (even swapping places with adjacent enemies), close attacks, ranged shots, and healing. During the enemy turn, there are usually two enemies on the Screen, each with two unique Behaviour Boxes.
