Description
As the name suggests, Cthulhu 500 is a racing game with a Cthulhu Mythos theme. Each player chooses a car for the race, and as the game goes on can to pick up special drivers/pit crew (such as "The Fungi from Detroit"), and car enhancements (such as "Rats in the Whitewalls").

This game is a hoot to play. I'm thinking it's a must have for any H.P. Lovecraft fan. A very light game that had me smiling non stop from start to finish.

A light but fun cardgame. Best played with 5-6 experienced players. Not for people who dislike random effects like dicerolling. Would be a good game even if stripped off the Chutuly mythos, but it definitely adds to the feel. Iä Iä, Chuthulu!

Fun game. Great theme with a solidly working mechanic underneath. Loses some marks for a poorly organized rule book. Spent the first couple of games not knowing what happens to a damaged car that gets further damaged. Improves by playing with people who are into the theme.

At the intersection of Eldrich Horror, Auto Racing, and Card Games you will find this. I like all those 3 things, and unsurprisingly I really like this game. It takes a bit of playing to really get used to, and the "additional damage" rules are tough to remember, but overall it's so unique that I can't help but love it.
