Marvellous. It's an example of perfect addon containing a huge variety of things (heroes, artifacts, new gods with new powers) that make base game more atmospheric, more diversed, more replayable and even more complete.

Cyclades: Hades
Cyclades: Hades, an expansion for Cathala and Maublanc's Cyclades, consists of four modules that can be used individually or combined in various ways. In the Cyclades base game, players fight for domination over archipelagos in ancient Greece. They make offerings to gods to secure their favors and summon mythological creatures. The Hades expansion allows players to add Hades (no surprise there) to other gods present in the base game: Zeus, Ares, Athena, Poseidon and Apollo. Players will be able to build a Necropolis and summon undead armies when they gain favors of Hades.

Absolutely phenomenal expansion for an already extraordinary game! I like SU&SD but so many times I am in total opposition to their views - Brass Lancashire was one (10/10 for me) and Hades is another. I highly recommend Cyclades at 2P (along with the brilliant 4 and 5 player count) as the 2 bids per turn on the gods works so well and allows for some really clever plays. I rated 2P 8.5/10 compared to 4 & 5P 10/10 but now with Hades & all 4 modules 2P Cyclades has shot up to a 10/10 also.
I normally do not rate expansions, but I do not enjoy the base game alone quite as much as I love the experience of playing with this expansion. It evens the playing field and limits kingmaking.
The Best expansion, in my opinion it makes game much more epic and exciting, becouse the basic game is slow and a bit boring wthithout this expansion. It fix all ,sometimes, boring and not finished aspects of basic game, gives much more oporunities of acting. Titans expansion is too random for me. For this reason, this one is something must have !
It adds a lot to the already full of choices base game!! More gods come into play and choices now seem more difficult!! This expansion is a must for the lovers of Cyclades!!
