Fully German edition of 'War of the Ring: Second Edition'. The War of the Ring is an epic strategy game that allows up to four players to immerse themselves in the world of J. R. R. Tolkien's THE LORD OF THE RINGS with all its gigantic battles, dramatic twists, and unforgettable characters. One player takes command of the armies of the Free Peoples. Under this banner, the last free kingdoms of Middle-earth gather in the Third Age: from the Riders of Rohan and the proud warriors of Gondor to the mighty Elves of Lothlórien. This player must face the terrible hordes of Sauron in a desperate battle to give the Fellowship of the Ring enough time to reach Mount Doom. Another player takes on the Shadow side and leads Sauron's powerful servants and armies into the field to conquer all of Middle-earth: hordes of Orcs, Trolls, and Warg-riders, not to mention the dreadful Ringwraiths. He hunts the Ring-bearer to bring the One Ring back to his master and unleashes his mighty armies to break the resistance of the West. The fate of Middle-earth lies in the hands of the players.
