New edition. Die-cut bits are not necessarily better, but more in line with what you would expect from a "regular" printing; though, the real board and telescoping box is definitely a big jump up from the VPG norm. 3rd edition was different enough to warrant a new game entry. New research cards done differently (black cubes can be good for this action). No prestige points, only money - don't go broke. Tombstone costs are flat numbers depending on where the patient died. Patient tokens are round and are included as the tombstone itself by flipping it over and rotating it for different levels of illness.

I really enjoy this solo game, and although it can be played multi-player I feel it is at its best solo. This is in my top 10 solo games.
Only played solo, but possibly my favorite solo game yet! Great presentation, theme, and gameplay! Also a good game to leave set up for when you just want to play a turn or two here and there. My one and only complaint is more on me, but a lot of times I forget to pay myself for successfully treating patients! The hospital needs that money!!!!
Terrific game. Nice balancing act as you attempt to heal the sick patients and build the prestige of the hospital itself. Have lost all four games so far, but I've enjoyed all of them equally well.
A great balance of entertaining mechanics and a wicked sense of humor. Fantastic replayability, with a variety of strategies available game-over-game. Special notice for setting the gold standard in diverse character representation. I'm eagerly awaiting the third edition.
