King of Tokyo/New York: Monster Pack – King Kong

The Towers are a nice but not often used new mechanic. King Kong and especially Beauty is another interesting twist similar to the Gift cards in the Halloween expansion. Of the 2 monster packs, the Cultist Tokens seems like they should be part of the base game and will always be included. I will also add Towers, but not a requiredment as Cultist tokens.

These specialized monsters are the best way to play the game. Kong comes with 3 building sections that are stackable. When you roll four 1s in Tokyo or 4 of the "you get attacked by army" symbols in New York, you claim the lowest part that you can from the two lowest. If unavailable, you take it from the player that owns it. If you have both lower ones, and get the upper one, you automatically win the game. A game within the game.

The Empire State Building and Tokyo Tower add some fun mini-game mechanisms to the base game.

Ogden bought me this and I gave him the parts needed for his KING OF NEW YORK (making copies of the rules and special card). A fun way to finally make ONES count for something. All plays will be recorded on the base game.
