Description Description
Klong! in! Space! is a deck-building game. Each player starts with their own set of cards and expands it during the game. All players start with the same cards, but will receive different cards turn by turn. The goal of this competition is clear: Each thief hacks into the command center and steals an artifact. There are the following game objectives: Hack the onboard computer to gain access to the command center. Steal an artifact and get it into the rescue pod before Lord Eradikus gets hold of you. Collect more points than the rivals with the artifact and additional loot to secure the title of 'Best Thief in the Galaxy'! In their turn, each player can use their resources - Talent, Swords, and Boots - to buy new cards, move through the spaceship, fight enemies, and visit the market. Some cards belong to specific factions and offer additional bonuses/abilities when another card of their faction is played in the same turn. However, some cards trigger Klong!. Then player tokens are added to the boss bag. Whenever Lord Eradikus attacks, some tokens are drawn from the bag and players who have triggered more Klong! are more likely to be hit. Additional bounty hunter tokens come into play, causing damage to each player when drawn and being put back into the bag for each subsequent attack. Once all players have left the spaceship or are unconscious, the game ends and the surviving player with the most loot wins.

I heard very bad reviews of this game, specially because it's the only Clank! that won't work with any of the expansions. Until I played... A version that very much looked like it in Tabletop Simulator, but that definitely wasn't Clank! In! Space! because that'd be illegal. Really like this game. It works in a way you have to go around all of the ship to get to the artifact... and the way back is not as easy either. It works in the fine and perfect line, at least in my opinion, of "Easy enough you don't need a PHD to learn how to play it, but hard enough is always entretained". Plus: It's full of sci-fi movie references for all the movie enjoyers out there.

I think this is our favorite version of Clank! that we've played so far! The artwork is super fun and plays on ALL the SciFi characters/movies that we both love. The game board can be changed for each game as well. Overall, well designed and a good addition to the Clank! world!

This was the first board game I ever purchased. I bought it after playing the first Clank! several times. Yes, there's sentimental value behind my rating but I genuinely love this game and all it's aggravating little pieces.

The ameritrash-style tension of leaving the dungeon in time looms over your decision space like a giant timer above your head, eliciting a feeling that no other game does. Mix that with thrilling deck building and diverse card-driven combo potential and it's no wonder Clank! is a certified classic

A current favorite. This game hits a sweet spot for having a variety of all great mechanics without being overwhelming. There is satisfaction of deck building, shopping new cards with diamonds, tiles that works like a hex puzzle for scene variety, random prizes, and surprise clank adding just enough tension and impending danger. Two player is great, on the easy side for me but advanced players might like the extension Apocalypse which also upgrades replayability. Wish it were better rated so I could have found it sooner.
