East India Company grows quickly through delivering exotic goods from New World and Far East. But to operate on such big scale the company needs money and the first world stock market is opened in Amsterdam. Rich citizens see the opportunity to get even more riches so they invest at the stock market. But there are more opportunities to make profit. So much wanted exotic goods can be bought and sold too and with no secure routes one can make even better profit through trading them.
In Mercurius players take on the role of rich citizens in Holland in XVII century. They invest their money in stocks of different chambers of East India Company or try to get much more profit from risky trade in exotic goods. Players have their own information about activities of chambers in the far lands and about events which can influence prices at the market. But every one of them see only part of the picture so they have to look what other players are doing and what prices are influenced by them. Which one of them would be the richest citizen of Holland and win the game?
