Description Description
Faction expansion to Neuroshima Hex! 3.0 containing Troglodytes with brand new mechanics and fresh challenges. This new army comes with a big amount of fighting units and Battle tiles. Troglodytes easily adapt to the situation on the board. By cannibalizing their own units, they earn Satiety markers. Those with Greater Satiety can inflict more wounds, are faster, more mobile and resistant. On the other hand sacrificing their own units depletes their numbers and limits their ability to initiate a Battle by occupying an entire board.

Really enjoy this Faction! Interesting idea on cannibalism and how to use it to strengthen other units of yours!

I love this army. Sacrificing your units to strengthen your other ones gives you a lot of flexibility. Many options and many decisions to be made.

A well designed faction with great versatility thanks to their cannibalism mechanic. They are also pretty straightforward to learn but take time to master their various strategies. Rating: 8

Having your unit eliminate an adjacent friendly unit to become stronger is an interesting new twist. Also neat that you have some choice in exactly how the cannibalizing unit becomes stronger (higher initiative, higher attack damage, tougher...).

EDIT July 2024: My favorite army. I love the flexibility. Every unit could be a unit, but also be eaten to help another unit and/or free up space. One of the strongest army, but seems not to be overpowered. Many units and if you eat your units, the unit, that has eaten will be stronger, and even you choose a bonus. So little bit similar to Death Breath zombies, but it is a little bit harder to get the zombies in play and you don`t have any choice in which way, the zombie will be stronger then before. Sure, if you eat your unit, you will have fewer on the board, but you have many soldiers in your army. Troglodytes are very flexible, which makes them a stable army (not so luck depended).
