Description
The Death Breath is a terrifying virus which began spreading forth from the eastern enclaves of the Moloch. It infects every living thing, changing them into brainless, bloodthirsty beasts. Victims of these attacks become infected with the virus, and so it spreads. So far, the most effective way of dealing with the infected are strong ammunition, grenades, and a sharp ax. Neuroshima Hex! Death Breath is a new army for Neuroshima Hex! that gives players a new experience as the units are upgradeable with a special token pool that gives units customizable options. Death Breath also offers a large number of netting units as well as battle tiles.

Less elegant than first 4 or 6 armies, but one of the most interesting. Now initiating a battle is less obvious - you really WANT your units to die! :) And for the opponents it's even less obvious how to play. Great army. Recommended. A fly in the orniment - the 3.0 edition is UGLY like hell! And Portal won't support the 2.5 or 2.0 edition enymore. Wrrrrr!

The last time I was that excited about an army was when the 'Mephisto' came out. DB is a fresh, unusual faction with more options to consider when placing your units than in an average NS Hex army. The respawning of zombies (often stronger than the units they originally used to be) is a centerpiece mechanics of this army and it's just... great.

Haven't played it enough to be sure, but feels like another army where it starts out initially seeming weak until you truly figure it out. The revival gimmick is interesting, and changes the feel of the game. Normally, having your pieces die isn't great, but can actually be desirable when playing as them. Playing against them might make you reconsider whether killing a unit that will just come back even stronger is a good idea.
