Description Description

Nome in Codice - Critical Role Adventures brings the famous team word game into the world of Exandria, the setting of the acclaimed Critical Role series. Two teams compete to identify their secret agents starting from one-word clues, in a battle of intuition, deduction, and wordplay.

In each game, two Spymasters know the secret identity of the cards laid out on the table and must guide their teammates by linking as many words as possible with a single clue. Other players interpret the clue and try to guess the correct cards, avoiding those of the opposing team, neutral bystanders, and especially the treacherous assassin, which causes an immediate loss.

This edition introduces a cooperative adventure mode inspired by the first three campaigns of Critical Role: players gather a group of heroes, face themed missions, level up their characters, and prepare for the final boss battle. The illustrations and references draw directly from the Exandria universe, featuring characters and locations beloved by fans of the show.

Easy to learn but full of tension, it is a party game ideal for those who love deduction games and fans of Critical Role seeking a shared gaming experience around the table.

Interesting twist on a fantastic concept. Was very fun to play even though I'm not used to these types of games!

I love this game as I'm much more verbally talented than mathematically. And seeing how all of our minds work so differently is a hoot. The powers make for a bit of individual decision-making and creativity to the cooperative experience. For me, they give a whole new dimension that delights my brain. For people who struggle enough with the word associations, the powers are an unnecessary layer. PS It's a bummer to play it with non-DnD friends though. I had Healer and Druid on the board, and nobody got my clue of "Halsin." Come on...

I’ve had an amazing time with this game, it is extremely fun! If you like Codenames, you will definitely love this version. Great story mixed with an interesting twist on the classic.

Such a fun take on Codenames. Played 2 out of the 3 campaigns so far and the first one was a nice little introduction that wasn't too bad. The second campaign was much harder but we still won with only 2 losses. You really need to think about your words more than normal Codenames because if you hit a red square, it makes the game way harder. All of the words are Critical Role themed but 95% or more are standard RPG words that anyone will know. Oh and I have never watched a single episode of either show or the actual DnD campaigns from Critical Role.

I do really like Codenames, but this version takes it to a new level for me. I have played through 2 of the 3 missions and I have used all 6 characters in the box and can truly say that this game is the best version of Codenames for sure. The variation in each mission keeps it fresh from game to game.
