I didn't think I would like this game as much. But I loved it. A quick and fun game. There are times I thought I won, and I was beyond wrong. This is Def something I would recommend.

Power Hungry Pets is a reimagining of Love Letter, with players making a mad grab for power thanks to the animal powers they have on hand. Each card features a number and a hilarious way to backstab, steal from, or obliterate the other players. Players hold one card at all times, draw a second card during their turn, then must decide which to keep and which to play – requiring only one decision at a time. The better version of Love Letter. Plays 2-6 (as opposed to 2-4), has a more friendly and easy to explain premise (for what you are doing). Just a more refined, better love letter all around.
Simple, little, quick take-that game with the highest score left in your hand taking the round. Only 21 card deck. Up to 6 players.
I think this is the newest iteration of Love Letter. Try to hold out the longest. I like this version too. It adds a 0 card that can beat the highest card at the end. Changed the 2 to put a card back in the deck. Maybe something else, but I like this version and would happily play it.
I need to replay it more to gauge its actual depth. But what's certain is that the very first night we played this game we had a lot of fun and found it very promising. A major positive is that for some reason it didn't feel bad to be eliminated early because we'd become "omnicient spectators" able to savor the twists and turns happening during the rest of the round. It feels strategic yet chaotic ; you can planify but there will probably be twists. Will happily play again in the future.
CAUTION! Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. It contains small parts which could be swallowed or inhaled.
