The game is excellent! It's very deep, strategic, has lots of replayability and is a very thematic game. Somewhat convoluted at first, but after that the game flow is very straightforward.

I really love the innovations and changes to the Quartermaster General system made to support fewer factions and two players. The mobility of the units in QMG: East Front also introduces a whole new dimension to gameplay that makes for rewardingly complex tactics. This is the kind of game I'd take to a desert island and never get bored of it.

I am 100% total QMG series fan and this for-sure-not-a-LOTR-QMG War of the Ring Card Game. East Front is a blast. I love 6p WWII, but this EF is much more serious game. What is important it is more historically driven then WWII, its rather like 1914. Its a WEuro masterpiece. Looking foward to West Front.

This was a very pleasant surprise. Like many QG players, I've always loved the multiplayer aspect of the series and I had my doubts. No more. Only played twice to be fair, once in each direction but each was an absolutely brilliant game! Tense, fun and thoughtful. Not to mention a damn site easier to get to the table. The contingency cards work really well and combat fairly slick but still has plenty going on. All in all a great addition to the series....and perhaps my favourite.

After playing our first game, we immediately wanted to play it again. Once you learn how the game flows on the map and with the cards, it. becomes very tense and engaging. We had fun; the game requires tactical and strategic thinking, and the pace is fast. An excellent start in the two-player QMG series.
