While Qwirkle is as simple as matching colors and shapes, it is a game that also requires tactical maneuvers and well-planned strategy. The game consists of 108 wooden blocks with six different shapes in six colors. Using the blocks, players attempt to score the most points by building lines that share a common attribute – either color or shape. Qwirkle is a quick game to learn, but you'll soon discover that you'll need to think strategically in order to score the most points.

This is a colour and shape interpretation of scrabble. 6 is the limit to how many blocks go up down and left to right. So be careful on what you choose to do with your moves. Or you might give your opponent a chance for a Qwirkle.

I really enjoy playing this game. It's fun with a group of three or four, but I play Qwirkle most of the time with just my wife. It's basically like Scrabble with colors and shapes, and you just have to look for patterns between what tiles have been played and the six you currently have in front of you. It's generally a relaxing game.
