Qwirkle Luxe is the deluxe edition of Qwirkle, the award-winning abstract pattern-matching game for shapes and colors. The game is played with tiles in six different shapes and six different colors, without a board: you place each tile adjacent to already-played tiles, aligning the same color or the same shape without duplicates. You score one point for each tile in a completed line, with a bonus if a line matches all six shapes or all six colors (a "Qwirkle"). The player with the most points when the tile bag runs out wins.

This is a colour and shape interpretation of scrabble. 6 is the limit to how many blocks go up down and left to right. So be careful on what you choose to do with your moves. Or you might give your opponent a chance for a Qwirkle.
I really enjoy playing this game. It's fun with a group of three or four, but I play Qwirkle most of the time with just my wife. It's basically like Scrabble with colors and shapes, and you just have to look for patterns between what tiles have been played and the six you currently have in front of you. It's generally a relaxing game.
My parents are in love with this game, and ask to play it everytime I visit. Nothing like family time.
Super fun game. A bit similar to Rummikub in mechanics, but quite different strategy wise due to point system.
