Hirelings are absolutely essential for a two player game of Root - I would literally strongly advise against playing it with two otherwise. With Hirelings, though, 2p Root is amazing! 10/10 expansion.

All cards are sleeved. 3D Printed organizer that puts all factions in the base game box, all Hirelings in the Hireling Box, all other components in one expansion box, maps in a box, and faction boards in a box.

Hirelings are a great addition to Root! They make the game much better at 3 players, and can even be used with more players for diversity and even more strategy!
