Exactly what I wanted out of this dice action/placement card game. Was brilliant for solo play and played to the right amount of time with plenty of options available and a fair replayability.

Description
The Kingdom is in grave danger. Powerful enemies are conspiring to resurrect the vile and powerful Unhallowed that your party has just slain. Now you, the mighty adventurers of the land, must visit these summoning locations and defeat the hordes of creatures behind this evil plot. It falls to four mighty adventurers, each of whom has a unique set of skills, to band together once more to vanquish this evil before the Unhallowed consume the world in darkness. In Set a Watch, a cooperative game for 1-4 players, you must clear out nine locations to stop the acolytes from breaking the seals holding back the evil Unhallowed. Every round you will visit a new location and pick an adventurer to rest and take camp actions. The rest of the party will take watch and battle a line of monsters trying to make their way into camp using your dice and unique character abilities. Manipulating the creature line is essential to solving each round’s combat puzzle. It is a battle to stay alive and keep the campfire burning! Use your wits and skill to fight for the light…or all will perish in the darkness.

I have played this game (solo) about 10 times now and Set A Watch is now my favorite solo game. It was easy to learn (especially since I play many fantasy RPG games) and takes about 1 hour - 1.5 hours to play. The variety, random starting characters and abilities make for an enjoyable and different experience each time. Of course, being a cooperative / solo game with exactly 4 characters each game, it is well designed for a solo game. I am enjoying it very much and look forward to future expansions to enhance the variety and re-playability further.

Simple Gameplay (Easy to learn and teach) but super tactical and highly thematical. Beautiful art and good replayability. There's nothing finer than relaxing at a bonfire while everything around you tries to beat up your a** :)

Well designed and easy to take with any where. Whether playing solo or with a full team game is fun. Randomness can cause difficulty spikes but the game never seems to give you things you cant handle if your managing your heroes well.

Don't be deceived by the size of this box. This is one of the most enthralling and rewarding co-op experiences you can find. The lack of flashy miniatures is a huge plus in my mind, more than made up for in mood and beautiful art.
