In the depths of the ocean, two submarine crews are engaged in a silent war, enemies forever. SONAR Family is a submarine battle game in which two teams operate a different submarine. Each player plays a crew member: the Captain or the Radio Operator. The game comes with 4 Double-sided Captain Sheets and 4 Double-sided Radio Operator Sheets. These are maps that are dry erase and are used to track movement and find the opposing team to sink their submarine. The two teams are divided by a screen blocking the view of each team’s maps. If one of the two submarines loses its second structure point, its team loses immediately. The team who sunk the submarine wins the game!

Simpler. Quicker. Needs less players. All the things I needed to get this to the table more. On top of all that it still provides the same strong game its big brother does. I'll never turn down a game of Captain Sonar, but this will hit the table 10 times more often.

Not as extensive and less chaos as the original version, but a lot of fun if you cannot gather a group of 6-8 players. This one works very well with 3 or 4 players.

24.01.05. Komoly taktikai mélységek vannak a játékban. Ha az atomreaktorral úgy gazdálkodsz: a) 1 körben tudj kiküldeni 2 sonar-jelet b) egymás utáni 2 körödben tudj Stealth c) e. u. 3. k. t. 1-1 rakétát lőni. (2024 Rule-DEV) Alap-szabállyal lapos a játék, mint tevekaki a fűben. (Az nyer, aki először lő) Szabadidőmben fél évig dolgoztam Rule-DEV és péppé lett tesztelve. Végre kinyílt a game. És lett belőle egy modern “Torpedo”. Nem bonyolult, mégis okos döntésekkel. 1931-es Battleship (Torpedo) remake. Nem vagtában random lövöldözöl. Döntéseket hozol. Ráhatásod van a játékra. Really good family team game. I suggest playing as advertised with one adult and one child on each team. Both my kids loved the hide and seek element of the game and the satisfaction of finding the enemy teams sub. Easily plays within the advertised time of 30 minutes, usually less in my experience.
