One of my top 5 favorite games. So versatile for any playgroup; very fun, engaging cooperative play or solo play, while the competitive variant is immensely cutthroat. It's a lot of pieces, very dense setup, but the components are incredible and the core of the game is easy enough to figure out. Love this game immensely. Inside Up really doesn't miss.

Summit: The Board Game is a survival board game for 1-6 players, lasting about 40 minutes. Play competitively, cooperatively, or solo with unique resource management and variable mechanics.

- 200 cards (57.5mmx89.0mm) [suggested by ichiruishu]
In a competitive game, players race up and down the deadly mountain while managing their resources, building their path, overcoming obstacles, and attempting to survive their competition. Summit uses a unique karma system that allows players to actively help or hinder their opponents — but it also affects end game scoring. For a few extra points, you could share some of your valuable food or oxygen, or maybe you can afford to lose some points so you choose to cut their rope and watch them disappear down the mountain.
In a cooperative or solo game, players must now work together to overcome the mountain and survive the expedition. Summit is a game so grueling you need only one team member to survive the ascent and descent, so players may sacrifice themselves for the good of the team. The mountain has a "Sherpa Track" and a "Time of Day Track" added, as well as a whole new deck of cards. It is unlikely everyone will be returning from this expedition.
With over 190 unique cards, nearly 100 tiles, unique resource management and tracking on dual-layer asymmetrical player mats and the ability to customize your difficulty and game length, Summit guarantees you will never play the same game twice!

I demoed this a lot at UKGE 2026 for the incredible Inside Up. I had so much fun & fell in love with this great game! Superb content, graphics, components and very different gameplay. Competitive, cooperative, solo and with expansion even team game!. I got spoilt with the beautiful big box and I’m in love ?
Met the designer and got a chance to try a demo of this game at GenCon '16. Tried the game in both co-operative and competitive modes and had an absolute blast in both modes. The rules are simple and well-designed. The strategy is engaging. The artwork is beautiful. There's a decent amount of "easter egg" humor designed into the game as well as opportunities for many laugh out loud moments during gameplay. As another user has mentioned, this game feels like an absolute complete package in both modes. After playing the game that afternoon at GenCon, I immediately backed the KickStarter as did everyone else at the table. I can't recommend this game enough.
(Solo) My first play-through of this excellent path game was great fun; I hit a dead-end just south of the summit, encountered bandits hiding out just under the summit, fumbled all my oxygen on the peak, and made it back to base camp in good health. The artwork is bold and unique, and the component quality is top-notch (love the chunky dice). I'm looking forward to future plays that increase the difficulty as well as the rating. [Rating++]
Backer Edition. Got in a couple cooperative rounds with my wife and we really enjoy this one! VERY excited to play it over the holidays with family and friends. The event cards. resource management, and climbing tile variety add a lot of strategy to the game. I came within one tile of the summit before an avalanche hit and I had to work my way down, or try to reach the summit and probably die! Wonderful sturdy box with very well designed inserts. Quickly rocketed up my list of favorite games to play.
