Tainted Grail: Kings of Ruin is a cooperative exploration game set in a grim universe that merges Arthurian legends with a distinctive vision of the Celtic world. It requires no other products to be played! Each player controls one of four unlikely heroes who face impossible adversities before which stronger and wiser champions have failed. Tasked with the unachievable mission of finding the One True King of Avalon, the Characters travel the mist-shrouded paths of the island, threatened by dwindling resources and increasingly grueling Encounters. Their road will soon cross paths with many enemies and allies, including the three legendary Kings of Ruin, each in their fallen realm. A system of narrative flags and evolving Location cards allows players to see the long-term consequences of their actions. At the same time, a deep and branching storyline lets them tackle problems in different ways, ensuring that no two games are ever alike.
