What a great game! Designed for 2 people, is a good 20 minute game, requires a lot of thinking and strategy, but so so easy to understand and grasp. I love playing this with my partner

Beautiful art - I almost want to display the game box on my wall ? super fun, quick to learn, two person abstract board game. Fun to take on the go on car trip or to park when want to sit down and play something for 20 minutes. You can either spend 10 minutes thinking about every turn (unfortunately my strategy at times), or simply just "go with it" and see how your move affects your partner's. Would definitely recommend. I'm putting this in my game collection next to Yinsh ?

When I first saw this game, I was intrigued by the unique components. After about 3 moves, I was impressed with how easy the learning curve was, but how quickly I started thinking tactics and strategy. I played against the designer and every move felt clever. A simple take has become a more rare occurrence and they are often layered with secondary or tertiary trades in mind. After about 15 more games, I am still enjoying Eigenstate and particularly the tactical situations where you may have an obvious move but also a move that might be less obvious and long game focused. Long term positioning is as critical as the short term take and trade.

This is a fast brutal cage fight where your first mistake is likely to be your last. No obvious first player advantage, and easier to visualise the movement than I was expecting, looking forward to playing again. (Rating based on 4 face-to-face games with the prototype, plus games against Ai Ai.)

A VERY interesting and deep build-your-own Chess piece like game. More depth than Onitama. Some of the small plastic dowel rods don't fit though, so not the greatest production value I agree with the comment of Define Thrive: Start with the simplicity of Onitama; flourish and develop into the headache of Chess. I find this to be accurate and EXCELLENT!
