Guardians, in my opinion, are among the best aspects of Thunderstone. However, this was the first one to actually have a consistant negative impact on the game, as they should. The first two just seemed to give people opportunity to either extend the game out or trash garbage from their hands (which isn't always good, but, in my experience, has rarely been bad).
