Description
In Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calendar - Tribes & Prophecies, each player now becomes the leader of a particular tribe, each of which has a special ability that only that player can use. The game includes 13 tribes to provide plenty of variety. With this expansion, the game of Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calendar is also influenced by three prophecies that are revealed ahead of time and fulfilled when the time is right. These prophecies give players other opportunities to score points, but they can also lose points if they don't prepare themselves for the prophecy effects. As with the tribes, the expansion includes 13 prophecies. This expansion also has new buildings and components that allow up to five players to compete.

Great addition to my favourite game, which doesn't change gameplay drastically but gives players more opportunities to gain (as well as lose) points. I highly recommend after playing a lot of core game :)

To date, this is my favorite worker-placement game and the expansion adds even more depth. The asymmetrical leaders add a ton of variety to each game. The prophecies tend to remove more points from players rather than add, so watch out! I don't think I would play the base game without this expansion. [No sleeves needed]

Adds asymmetric abilities to the game, prophecies and a fifth player which is not needed. Always playing with the asymmetric abilities but the prophecies are really hard to grasp with new players. More stuff to an already awesome game!

This is a perfect expansion. It increases depth without adding much complexity at all. The asymmetry is awesome. And it adds a 5th player! I wish more expansions could pull this off.
