Villagers: Shifting Seasons is the second expansion for Villagers, and this Kickstarter edition includes 19 bonus cards that are not part of the retail version. The modules mix freely with the base game: Event cards add new actions and scoring opportunities for every player, a new suit of villagers allows longer games at 4 and 5 players or replaces the Grapes suit, Special villagers such as the Engineer, Inventor and Merchant bring rule-bending abilities, and Teams are a new villager type that can be recruited at any time to add an extra food or build icon. The Monastery module offers a more relaxed solo mode. The box contains 48 cards, the 19 Kickstarter bonus cards, a wooden bee token and the rulebook. The expansion is in English, plays with 1-5 players aged 14 and up, and lasts 60 to 90 minutes. The Villagers base game is required to play.
