Really enjoyed playing this. Sat down with a glass of wine, the rule book and a table and the time flew playing my first game :) Love the rustic art (which many don't). Components are high quality- even the rulebook has a premium texture to it

The game is available
- 154 cards (44.0mmx67.0mm)
- 78 cards (63.0mmx88.0mm)
In Viticulture, the players find themselves in the roles of people in rustic, pre-modern Tuscany who have inherited meager vineyards. They have a few plots of land, an old crushpad, a tiny cellar, and three workers. They each have a dream of being the first to call their winery a true success. The players are in the position of determining how they want to allocate their workers throughout the year. Every season is different on a vineyard, so the workers have different tasks they can take care of in the summer and winter. There's competition over those tasks, and often the first worker to get to the job has an advantage over subsequent workers. Fortunately for the players, people love to visit wineries, and it just so happens that many of those visitors are willing to help out around the vineyard when they visit as long as you assign a worker to take care of them. Their visits (in the form of cards) are brief but can be very helpful. Using those workers and visitors, players can expand their vineyards by building structures, planting vines (vine cards), and filling wine orders (wine order cards). Players work towards the goal of running the most successful winery in Tuscany. Viticulture - Essential Edition comes with components for Viticulture, but adds some of the expansions from Tuscany, including 36 Mama & Papa cards, Field cards (previously known as "Properties"), and 24 Automa cards (solo variant), along with a couple of minor rule changes.

Workerplacementowa radość w Toskanii. Znów - mechanika spółgrająca z tematyką. Cudo.
I love the elegant an streamlined gameplay, and i love that this game is a joy to play in every player count. In addition it's an easy teach an the downtime is very low.
What a low-key, low stakes... Then honestly kind of stressful toward the end kind of game! I have played this game twice now, and I don't think I will stop playing this game for a long time. I believe it will become a staple in my family
Standard worker placement, without frills, where each player must manage their vineyard, plant grapes, harvest, sell grapes, make various types of wine, sell wines, guide tourists, receive visitors, etc. It's perhaps the most thematic Eurogame I've ever played. Very fun and tight, full of blocks all the time. Because of this, there are visitors who provide balance if you are too blocked in worker placement. So I don't think the visitors are "unbalanced"... in fact, it seems like they are what make the game balanced. But it's just a first-game perception... I still want to play with the expansion.
