In El Dorado, players slip into the roles of expedition leaders who have embarked on a search for the legendary land of gold in the dense jungles of South America. Each player assembles and equips their own team, hiring various helpers from the scout to the scientist to the aborigine. For me..... best boardgame ever. I play very often with friends (1-2 times a week). it never bores, everyone has other tactics and the finish is almost everytime close. I bought every game Expansions) twice so I can get creative with the board layout.

Elegant, accessible game for everyone to enjoy. Minimal and balanced deckbuilding with spatial interaction in the race to be first to El Dorado = perfection

For my tastes it's a perfect game that I can mess around with to create replayability and interesting showdowns. Has multiple ways to overcome and decently meaningful decisions.
