Final Girl Lore & Scenario Book 1

Definitely a fantastic bonus for KS backers, playing any box is really fun and there is plenty of variety to keep you coming back anyway, but this book just adds so much more fun. An absolute must have if you own all the boxes.

I really like the background information on everyone and the scenario's that get added. It gives more ways to play the game and build the universe around the final girl franchise. It makes it more immersive for me.

Has interesting background for Adelaide and Barbera in particular but it's also interesting for the others girls and insights into the Killers. Inkanyamba's is a little funny in a dark way: he can't find the right girl. I didn't have as many scenarios to do with this lorebook because I only had 2 of the expansions from it but I look forward to collecting more from the Van Ryder emails and probably the app eventually. It does add some flavor to repeat plays.

I love the setup for playing through the different scenarios as an ongoing theme. Adds a little more to an already impressive game system.

Added this to my season 2 pledge despite being *extremely* skeptical. I was *wrong* -- this immediately elevates the sense of immersion and dynamic storytelling that Final Girl excels at. Having played the first scenario of all 6 season 1 stories: They could certainly be better. The writing is technically weak, but the little narratives they evoke are still fantastic. Still -- I wish they had a professional editor go through it a few times or something, because a lot of the text here feels like a first draft.
