Great game. Theme is great. I am not musician but have a huge respect for people who are talented in this category. I get into the theme as I like the dice rolling for performing because in real life performing can be risky. Three games that I have played, the scores have been close. Pretty heavy Euro.

Luthier
Luthier immerses you in the fascinating world of classical European musical instrument craftsmanship. Manage your workshop's resources, court historical patrons, and pursue diverse strategies: from musical performances to apprentice training. A strategic board game combining worker placement and secret bidding for 1-4 players.
Luthier transports players to the height of classical music in Western Europe, when the art of instruments was supported equally by skilled craftsmen, noble patrons, virtuoso performers, and celebrated composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven.
Through an original combination of secret bidding and worker placement, players manage resources to build various musical instruments in their workshop while courting real historical patrons through a personal tableau of evolving actions and bonuses. Each player chooses how to balance progress across multiple tracks, unlocking special worker abilities and other bonuses.
You can pursue diverse strategies and objectives, such as musical performances, instrument construction and repair, apprentice training, workshop expansion, and overall luthier reputation: there are multiple paths to victory.
Luthier finds true harmony in an authentic blend of theme and mechanics, offering a rich gaming experience that speaks to both the strategic player and the lover of classical music.

It's a brilliant game that can look quite daunting at first but once you play through the rehearsal it all falls into place.
This game drips theme, I love the player interaction. I really like all the design choices. I feels very tight and competitive. My only small gripe is that I feel like fixing instruments and performance feels a little lackluster compared to instrument design. And this isn't a big complaint but something that could be addressed in future expansions. Overall a pleasant surprise for me.
+Enamel Inspiration holy goodness i love this game the little silent bidding for spaces is so unique and clever i am always down to play a game of luthier it is that good
With a bit of bias being a musician myself, I was not disapointed by the great bidding, teratory control, and resorce managment mechanics. I loved balancing preformances, repairs, and keeping the composers and nobles content.
