Description
Wingspan Pocket condenses the Wingspan experience into a lighter, faster-paced card game where each turn you activate a single row of cards. The cards are double-sided, one with food and one with birds, and bird powers are shown primarily through icons, with the addition of a new type of continuous power.
Designed to be accessible to new players while still engaging for experienced ones, Wingspan Pocket is a standalone game in a compact box - not an expansion, since birds are not compatible with Wingspan - and features birds from around the world.

A gem! For what it is designed to be - excellent!! For those evenings when we don’t have that much time but still want a fun little competitive game. I was amazed at how into it I was by the end. It felt neither too short not too long. And, the more I've played, the more strategy I'm learning.
I've played somewhere between 25-30 games with 2-4 players. Feels fresh every time and I really enjoy it! The goals in the advanced rules add much needed value to egg-strategies and adds extra elements to consider when picking birds. The feel when you manage to assemble a synergistic flock is awesome.
Less is more. Easier to teach, easier to pack, plays faster. Perfect for Wingspan fans that think that the OG game's box is too big to bring everywhere. Less decision-making than its predecessor since there is only one column (which could be bad or good depending on your playmates). The nest and the egg is a huge improvement, makes the start plays a lot less sluggish than Wingspan's first round.
So good. So clever. So tiny. I love unpacking my giant wingspan nesting box to play “Birds” with family but this quick and tiny version hits the spot. Easy to learn, easy to play but hard to dominate in…truly wonderful. Plus it fits in my carryon for travel!
Wingspan Pocket is a terrific way to play my beloved Wingspan game in a smaller and slightly faster format. After two games with family, we agree we can't wait to play it again. We have all previous Wingspan tabletop versions since the game was released, so our learning curve was short, but even the small hiccups were easily resolved by consulting the clear game instruction booklet. Love the portable box. We are fans of Wingspan!
